On a beautiful Omokoroa day a large number of residents, young and old, gathered at the Omokoroa Skate Path for the official opening by the WBPDC Mayor, Mr Ross Patterson.

After thanks to all the generous sponsors, the steering group and others involved, the Mayor cut the ribbon and declared the Omokoroa Skate Path open.

The crowd was then treated to a display by professional skateboarders who also happend to be the crew that built the paths and jumps.

After they had wowed the watchers it was 'all in' for general enjoyment by the many excited youngsters who had brought their boards, scooters and bikes.
